BXA Rankings are designed to identify the most deserving professional boxers in each weight division through transparent criteria, verified records and monthly review. The purpose of BXA Rankings is to determine title eligibility, mandatory challengers, elimination bouts and the official pathway toward BXA World Championship status.
Ranking Principles
• Professional record and quality of opposition
• Recent activity — results in the last 24 months
• Performance against ranked opponents
• Regional and continental title achievements
• Amateur achievements, where relevant
• Compliance with BXA rules
• Medical and anti-doping eligibility
• Availability to compete
BXA Ranking Rules
One Division Rule
A boxer may be ranked in only one weight division at a time.
Activity Requirement
To remain ranked, a boxer must normally compete at least once within an 18-month period unless a medical, legal or contractual exception is approved by BXA.
Top 15 Eligibility
To enter or remain in the BXA Top 15, a boxer should normally have competed in at least one scheduled 10-round bout or multiple scheduled 8-round bouts.
Quality of Opposition
A victory over a ranked or highly qualified opponent carries greater ranking value than a victory over an inactive or low-level opponent.
Monthly Ranking Cycle
• Review of official results and verification of boxer records
• Evaluation of major wins and losses
• Review of activity and inactivity
• Medical and disciplinary eligibility check
• Review of ranking applications
• Publication of updated rankings with movement explanations
