BXA is governed through an independent committee structure designed to protect integrity,prevent conflicts of interest and ensure professional decision-making in all areas of boxingregulation. No single promoter, broadcaster, manager or athlete may control BXA rankings,titles, disciplinary decisions or official appointments.
BXA Organizational Structure
BXA Board of Governors
Highest policy-making body. Approves rules, governance principles, ethics code, annualstrategy and committee appointments. Protects organizational independence.
BXA Executive Office
Daily administration: licensing, sanctioning coordination, official records, rankings publication,promoter/athlete/official communications.
BXA Championship Committee
Controls title status. Approves title fights, designates mandatory challengers, orders eliminators,declares vacancies, supervises purse bids.
BXA Ratings Board
Publishes monthly rankings. Reviews boxer records, evaluates quality of opposition, tracks activity, publishes ranking movements and explanations.
BXA Medical & Safety Committee
Sets all medical, safety and return-to-boxing standards. Reviews suspensions, approves medical requirements, supervises ringside standards.
BXA Officials Committee
Licenses and appoints referees, judges, supervisors and inspectors. Conducts post-fight performance audits and organizes seminars.
BXA Licensing Committee
Reviews and approves licenses for boxers, promoters, managers, officials and event personnel. Enforces documentation requirements.
BXA Sanctioning Committee
Reviews event applications. Verifies bout eligibility, confirms insurance and medical coverage, issues official sanction letters.
BXA Ethics & Disciplinary Panel
Investigates misconduct: rule violations, conflicts of interest, betting, manipulation, corruption. Publishes disciplinary decisions.
BXA Appeals Committee
Reviews formal appeals against BXA decisions. Issues written decisions and protects due process.
BXA Women’s Boxing Committee
Supervises women’s professional boxing under BXA. Maintains women’s rankings, approves championship contests, develops regional pathways.
BXA Regional Development Committee
Builds BXA presence in key territories. Develops regional rankings, appoints regional representatives, supports local promoters.
